Shot in the weeks before the world hit pause, this project with Kate Courtney was commissioned by RockShox to support the SID line with stills that felt as focused as her preparation. We photographed both sides of the work: structured gym routine and on trail training, the quiet repetition behind race-day outcomes.

At the time, Kate was already riding with the confidence of a reigning World Champion, and the camera followed the details that make that possible: systems, discipline, and the relentless choice to show up again tomorrow. The season ahead did not unfold the way anyone expected, but the mindset did not change.

Years later, that same long-view effort is the throughline in her career, including a return to the top step as a UCI World Champion again, this time earning the elite women’s cross-country marathon world title in 2025.
