Shot on assignment for Salsa Cycles, this project focused on creating a complete image set for the Spearfish, Blackthorne 125, and Blackthorne 145. The work was produced across multiple locations in Arizona, using terrain and elevation to highlight the unique ride characteristics of each model through real world use.

The Spearfish was photographed in the Hawes Trail Network in Mesa, Arizona, where fast rolling cross country trails, tight turns, and winding singletrack through saguaro studded foothills reflect the bike’s efficiency and versatility. The Blackthorne 145 was captured at higher elevations within the Hawes network, using more rugged and technical terrain to emphasize the capability and confidence of Salsa’s longest travel trail bike.

For a contrasting visual environment, the Blackthorne 125 was photographed in Sedona, Arizona. The red rock landscapes and desert terrain provided a distinct setting to showcase the bike’s adaptability across varied conditions. Together, the imagery balances performance driven action with lifestyle and environmental context, supporting a cohesive visual story across Salsa’s trail and cross country lineup.
